I Really like how Molly has used a geometric background in a similar shade to the floral paintings. It brings the flowers to the foreground and makes them come alive.
These organic compositions really interest me visually due to being made up of a variety of scales and circles to create an overall image. Marks from the drawings have been established an used as a background.
Again composition ally I am interested in looking at this further. The smaller plates are more dense in detail therefore allowing the eye to move up to the main floral image. Where it almost takes Oma delicate structure.
I noticed the lid where the flowers have been painted on in block colours and then layered with a linear detailed line. I am going to take my marks from my flower drawings to layer up and create organic compositions to move away from my rigid geometric compositors from last project.
